2024年中非合作论坛峰会于9月4日至6日在北京举行。本次峰会主题为“携手推进现代化，共筑高水平中非命运共同体”。中非合作论坛非方成员领导人，有关非洲地区组织和国际组织代表会出席峰会有关活动。9月5日，国家主席习近平出席2024年中非合作论坛峰会开幕式并发表题为《携手推进现代化，共筑命运共同体》的主旨讲话。
2024年9月5日，我校区域国别研究院高级研究员、国际关系学院教授王义桅应邀参加中非合作论坛北京峰会“高质量共建一带一路"与“和平与安全”高级别会议。
针对此次峰会上关于中非关系的新表述，王义桅教授接受香港经济导报、CGTN、南方日报等媒体采访。

Wang Yiwei, director of the Institute of International Affairs at Renmin University of China, emphasized to CGTN that true independence for Africa involves more than just political or economic autonomy; it requires genuine self-determination, and then we can build "a community with a shared future for mankind."Wang highlighted that Africa's most urgent needs center around concrete aspects such as employment issues, industrialization, agricultural modernization, and digital and green transformation. He gave the example that while the European Union has provided substantial aid to Africa in the past, it failed to significantly impact economic development and instead focused on promoting normative standards.China first established an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with Pakistan, later extending it to Belarus, and now this model is becoming increasingly widespread, Wang said. "For the first time in history, the African continent is entering into an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China.""This term signifies a commitment to long-term mutual trust and stability, regardless of global uncertainties or major changes. It means that Africa and China will not be swayed by temporary difficulties or global shifts and will maintain their cooperative relationship without taking side or letting short-term issues impact their overall partnership."

3、21世纪财经 | 中非宣布共筑新时代全天候命运共同体 将实施中非携手推进现代化十大伙伴行动
中国人民大学国际事务研究所所长、太和智库高级研究员王义桅在接受21世纪经济报道记者采访时表示，当前，中非关系正处于历史最好时期，各领域合作取得了实实在在的成果，中非命运共同体也走在人类命运共同体的前列。在此基础上，中非关系整体定位的提升将巩固双方传统友谊，推动中非命运共同体的发展，给全球南方合作注入强劲活力。
相对于西方的发展理念，中国的现代化探索经验对非洲国家来说更具借鉴意义。王义桅表示，西方现代化进程曾给广大发展中国家带来深重苦难，如今，非洲国家坚定地认为中国式现代化才是它们最值得借鉴的模式，是它们摆脱贫困、实现自主发展的希望，这就是非洲国家越来越重视对华关系的原因。
“美国式现代化是以资本为导向，造成了严峻的贫富差距与产业空心化，而且极为强调社会等级秩序。而中国式现代化则是以发展为导向，强调并联式发展、产业数字化、数字产业化，有助于帮助非洲实现整体的跨越式发展。‘一带一路’倡议对接非盟《2063年议程》口号就是‘made in Africa with China for the world’。” 王义桅说道。
在王义桅看来，中非共逐现代化之梦，不仅能够帮助非洲实现独立自主的发展，让其成为“世界上真正独立的一极”，还将有利于全球南方的崛起，推动平等有序的世界多极化和普惠包容的经济全球化。“‘新时代全天候中非命运共同体’的定位意味着中非合作迎来了历史性的大跨越，进入了黄金时代。”
